I have a huge faith in Ayurvedic skin care and during the lockdown time and the “Go Local” drive I had been trying some Indian Ayurvedic skin care brands. Recently I got the opportunity to try a couple of skin care products from Just Herbs, namely Rejuvenating Beauty Elixir Facial Serum and Kimsukadi Tail Glow Boosting Facial Oil.
About The Looks!
Both the serum bottles/containers come packed in a beautifully decorated cardboard box. The box of Elixir serum is mint green in color and that of Kimsukadi Tail is peach. Both the colors are pastel shades and the floral, leafy designs with shiny gold print makes it look luxurious! Both the bottles are made of good quality glass. Elixir bottle comes with a pump and Kimsukadi Tail, a dropper. I find the packaging of both the products quite aesthetically appealing, strong, good quality and travel friendly. I would say “Full Marks” in packaging!

My experience with the products!
Elixir Facial Serum – The key ingredient on this serum is the Gotukola Seeds (Indian Ginseng) which is combined with other Indian herbs to create a blend that acts as natural Vitamin C serum. It is creamy white in color and has a rich and silky texture. It’s not very thick like a cream or watery like other serums but it’s something between a gel and a lotion. A pea-sized amount is enough for the whole face. This serum feels very silky on the skin. It spreads nicely and gets absorbed within a few seconds. Despite the rich feel to it, it’s lightweight and yet quite hydrating. I really love the way my skin feels after it’s application. After using it for a week, my skin appears to be a little brighter than before. I can’t spot any glow yet but I sure see a difference. A week is too less to see any difference on pigmentation or fine lines, perhaps I will see that after using it regularly at least for a month. Apart from brightening, may skin feels quite hydrated and less tired. It kinda adds some life back to my skin which I really like.
Kimsukadi Tail – This oil is made in a traditional Ayurvedic way by cooking 17 herbs in sesame oil. While the Elixir can be used both day and night, this oil is specifically for the night. I take three drops and apply it on my cleansed face before going to bed. The oil is deep golden yellow in color and is not very thick as I expected it to be! It’s rich no doubt, but not very greasy. The texture is like that of a light oil and it gets absorbed nicely into the skin. The oil has a lovely faint fragrance which I am sure is of a herb that I can’t put a finger at. I noticed a nice glow on my face the next morning after my first use! I loved it! My skin felt nourished and bright. After a week, I see my skin getting slightly more brighter and even-toned. The melasma and blemishes on my skin will take some more time to fade, perhaps one month of its regular use.
Overall Verdict – I loved both the products for they showed some instant results. I love the fact that they are Ayurvedic as I have a huge faith in it as I mentioned earlier and my skin has always loved oils. Both the products did brighten up my skin and the Kimsukadi Tail added a subtle glow too! My skin felt nourished and rejuvenated for sure. I would have to wait for a little longer to see the results I desire, such as, lightening of blemishes and pigmentation. The best part is that the use of Ayurvedic products is only going to improve the skin in the longer run. Great for health and environment too! I would certainly recommend everyone to try these out.
