Exfoliating the skin is a very important part of any skin care routine and I am very picky when it comes to them. I like my exfoliator to clean the skin without drying it out and adding any break outs. Some are too light or soft and do nothing for my skin and some are too harsh, so I am always on a look out for a perfectly balanced one. I have been using the Wikka Blemished skin Exfoliate since quite a time now and today I am going to share my views on it.
About The Looks!
The exfoliate or scrub comes in a tub packaging packed in a very earthy box. The look of the tub is very rustic. It has a golden lid with transparent jar and a tag hanging with a rope string. Quite rustic and earthy, gives a traditional touch. The box has all the information like ingredients, price, quantity, etc and so has the jar inside. I do like the packaging, but one needs to be a little careful while opening the lid, as I cut my finger the first time I tried to open it. The edge of the lid was quite sharp and I got a pretty deep cut. That can be a scope of improvement for the brand 🙂

My experience with this Blemished Skin Exfoliate!
When I first touched the product to take it out, I was a little surprised and confused with its texture. It is something that I had never come across. It slipped out out my fingers every time I tried to take it out! Its like a wobbly jelly! When its applied on the face the jelly gets converted into a liquid like texture, its not creamy but somewhat watery. This was quite strange to me and with time I got a hang of it. The scrub particles are quite big and rough but thankfully they are not too much. Because of the right quantity they are not harsh or rough on the skin. Though I would still advise a light hand with it. The product has a great scent to it and gives quite an aromatic experience.
Coming to its performance, the exfoliate does its job quite well in removing the dead skin and making it feel extremely soft and smooth. I really like this in combination with the Wikka Bespoke Oil that I reviewed here. The way I use it is to apply the oil first and leave it for a few minutes and then use the scrub over it. The oil hydrates the upper skin layer and makes it easy for the exfoliate to take it out. I love the result of this combination much better than using the exfoliate on its own, I mean without the oil. As far as the blemishes are concerned, I haven’t seen much of a difference on my skin. I have melasma and it is caused due to hormonal problems and is very tough to get rid of, so this exfoliate might not be enough for my problem. But its a very good product to clean up your skin!! Its amazing how soft and smooth my skin feels after using this in combination with the bespoke oil.
I would say its a great exfoliating scrub and will give you a very soft, smooth and supple skin but I can’t vouch its effectiveness on the blemishes. I don’t have blemishes, I have melasma and I did not see much difference on them using this product. Its great for all skin types and you will love the scent of it too! I would recommend this product to those who are looking for a good organic and aromatic exfoliate.
