The Body Shop Shea Butter Richly Replenishing Shampoo – The shampoo comes packed in a plastic bottle with a flip open cap. The peachy-pink product is visible through the transparent bottle. The scent of the shampoo is very much the same as in other existing Shea products, it is sweet and warm. The shampoo is very mild. I have medium length hair and I need three helpings of the shampoo to get the desired foam. Once it foams up it cleanses the hair very nicely and yet does not leave my hair very dry. My hair feels pretty soft and bouncy after the wash but there is one more product I use before I see this result. I really like the shampoo and its good for people with normal to dry hair.
The Body Shop Shea Butter Richly Replenishing Conditioner – This is the product that I use after shampooing, of course, everyone knows that! 😀 Anyway, the conditioner comes packed in an exactly similar transparent plastic bottle as the shampoo and the creamy-white product is visible through it. It looks like butter in a bottle. The conditioner is a very hydrating one. After shampooing I leave it for a minute or two and rinse it off. My hair feels very soft and silky instantly. Once they are dry they look even more voluminous and bouncy. Great thing is that my hair gets detangled very easily after its use! I love it! It’s great for people who suffer from dry and frizzy hair even in summers. It’s light and doesn’t weigh the hair down.
The Body Shop Shea Butter Richly Replenishing Hair Mask – This hair mask is next in level to the conditioner. It is meant to treat and nourish the hair deeply. The product comes packed in a black tub and looks like thick butter. The texture is buttery too and so is the color. I applied this mask from root to tips after shampooing, left it for 5 minutes and then I rinsed it off. My hair instantly felt super smooth even while I was rinsing! Once my hair was dry they were really soft, bouncy and full of life! It obviously worked better than the conditioner! The mask though is super hydrating, it still doesn’t weigh your hair down, instead, it gives life to dry or frizzy hair! Mine is not as dry but I could still see a huge difference! I love this product!! I highly recommend it to everyone who wishes to give life to their dry hair!
The Body Shop Shea Shower Cream – This shower cream is a slightly peachy colored product that comes packed in a transparent plastic bottle with a flip open cap. The product is quite creamy and thus, not very runny. Only two swirls on the loofah are enough for one wash. It foams up superbly and cleanses the skin very effectively. The good part is that the creaminess of the shower cream does not let your skin get dry nor does it leave any residual greasiness. In summers I can perhaps leave my skin without applying any body lotion after using this product. People with very dry skin would still need to apply something after using this shower cream. I need to apply on my lower legs. The skin there gets very dry very soon. It’s a great product and can be used all year round though I personally would like to use it in autumn, spring and winters.
The Body Shop Shea Body Mist – The packaging of the Shea mist is the same as all the others the only difference being the color theme of the collection. The mist is completely transparent and looks like water, the translucent pink cover on the bottle makes it look slightly pink. The glass bottle has a spray nozzle with a black cap. The scent of this mist is very warm and sweet, unlike the other fruity mists that I own. It’s perfect for days when I don’t want to wear perfume but would like to carry a nice light warm scent. It’s perfect for both day and night time occasions. In fact, you can also use it on a daily basis when you go to work or anywhere you want. It’s perfect for people who don’t or can’t invest in perfume and yet wish to smell great.
The Body Shop Shea Exfoliating Sugar Body Scrub – The scrub comes in a pink-ish translucent plastic tub. The product is visible through the tub. The scrub is of very thick consistency and the texture is grainy but buttery. The scent is the same as all the Shea products. It feels like sugar grains are mixed in shea butter. When used on the skin the butter kind of melts on the skin and so does the sugar grain after a few seconds of scrubbing. This scrub leaves the skin hydrated which is very unlike other body scrubs I have from this brand. This scrub is slightly gentler than others but it leaves the skin well moisturized and soft. The skin gets better when it’s used regularly. The shea butter nourishes the skin while the sugar particles scrub the dead skin away. This keeps a balance. I would highly recommend this product to all those with super dry skin. Two jobs are done by one product.
The Body Shop Shea Butter – This product is one of a kind! Have you ever heard of 100% natural butter being sold by a skincare brand? I have never! This is a 100% natural Shea Butter from Ghana! It’s a multi-purpose butter that can be used on body, hair, face and lips! Isn’t that amazing! The butter comes packed in a transparent plastic ziplock pouch which is then packed inside a thin cardboard brown bag. The butter is creamy-white in color and is pretty thick even at room temperature. During Indian summers it softens a bit. It has a very slight nutty and buttery smell. I have used it as a lip balm, hand cream, foot cream and as a conditioner on the ends of my hair and I must say I am totally impressed by the results! The shea butter nourishes the skin and hair deep inside and makes them healthy and smooth! There are multiple ways you can use it and The Body Shop suggests some more cool ways listed below. I am yet to try the butter as a Bubbling Bath melt and shower cream.
Ways you can use the Shea Butter –
To summarize in the end, I would say the Products in the Shea range are highly promising! Truly nourishing, very hydrating. This collection is a blessing for those who suffer from dry skin problems either all year round or in winters. My skin is Normal to Dry and I have seen a great difference in my hair and skin health after using these products and I am very happy with them. I highly recommend this collection to everyone!
