Weather these days is so weird, sometimes its too hot and sometimes cold or rainy! Well with this it becomes very important to take care of our health and skin.
The Body Shop in association with Elle India, organised an event called “Happy Summers” on 27th March and I was invited to be a part of it! The event was focused around the newly launched products called “Sorbet”. There were three for body – Satsuma, Strawberry and Moringa and one face moisturizer “Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet“. The sorbets are specially for summers, they have a very light weight jelly-ish consistency, get absorbed quickly and moisturize for a longer time without making the skin look or feel greasy.
About the Products!
Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet – Described by The Body Shop as New Ultimate Skin Quenching Sorbet and The Cool Skin Treat, Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet contains Aqua Sphere technology – microscopic moisture spheres that act like tiny reservoirs and hold hundreds of times their weight in pure water. Each pot contains over 2 million Aqua Spheres, delivering a 24 HOUR feed of moisturisation to your skin. With wheatgerm oil, and Community Fair Trade shea butter and soya oil, Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet combines natural moisturizing power with the latest technology to hydrate like never before. Containing mineral particles that help to absorb oil and mattify, the feather-light, sorbet texture simply sinks into skin, so you can stay shine free, fresh and confident all summer long. Priced at Rs. 1195, Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet is available in a 50ml frosted glass jar.
Body Sorbet – The Body Shop keeps you cool from top to toe in the summer heat with Body Sorbets, it delivers a frosty burst of moisture freshness to skin, keeping you hydrated without the sticky feeling. Available in two fruity flavors – Strawberry and Satsuma and one floral fragrance – Moringa, the Body Sorbets offer the ultimate summer sensorial experience. The Body Shop® Body Sorbets contain 100% organic Community Fair Trade Aloe Vera from East Mexico to comfort, cool and soothe skin frazzled by the summer heat.
Based on the commissioned study on 118 women of all skin types, The Body Shop revealed that –
The event was organized in The Body Shop store at C.P., New Delhi and the store was decorated amazingly well! The theme was cool and colorful summers. From colorful Popsicle pictures to oranges, strawberries, jasmine flowers looked so pretty!! Our dress code was also anything in Orange/Pink/Red. The food section was the most attractive part because it rhymed with the theme. There were Cake Pops, Donuts, Cup Cakes, Tarts, candies, cotton candies and much much more!! I simply loved the treats not just for the taste, but they were a treat to the eyes too!!
The Body Shop team introduced me to the new products and have me try them out. The feel of the sorbets were amazing and I sincerely loved them. I loved the Satsuma Sorbet so much that I ended up buying one for myself! 😀
There was a session with the dermatologist Dr. Priyanka Mantri and she gave some really helpful tips for skin care and whatever skin problems we had. There was a quiz organised by the brand for all the bloggers, one was a set of questions with multiple options, related to movies, fashion, The Body Shop products, etc and the other was a riddle, clues for which were in the store itself. It was really fun and I quite enjoyed it!
A beauty makeover was also organised by The Body Shop using the their own make products giving everyone a new and pretty look!
After meeting some of the other bloggers, participating in the quiz, going through all the sessions and the delicious food I was set to leave. Before I left the I was given a gift hamper by The Body Shop which included two of the newly launched products, The Moringa Body Sorbet and the Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet for the face. I have started to try them and I their review will be up pretty soon, so stay tuned for that!
The Body Shop also tweeted one of my pictures with my favorite sorbet – Satsuma Sorbet on twitter. Check it out –
