When Maybelline launched their new Maybelline White Super Fresh Pressed Powder, I wasn’t really interested in it but then looking at the very low price, I thought why not to try it out. It might be a good option for anyone with a low budget! So I got one and started using it and have been using it for about a month now, but remember not everyday, only when I wear foundation 😀 Have used it enough to be reviewed though 😀
About The Looks!
The packaging is really attractive and is in accordance to the name of the product. The powder comes in a white colored round pan which has the name of the brand and product printed on it. The back of the box has the price, shelf life, etc mentioned. The packaging is compact, sturdy and looks good quality. I like the rounded edges on the outside, it looks pretty nice. Also the color combination is pretty catchy! Inside there is a cushion sponge provided and has a plastic film covering the actual product. Overall, pretty nice packaging!

My Views and Experience with the White Super Fresh pressed powder!
As I mentioned above I wasn’t keen on getting this pressed powder but suddenly I thought lets see how it is! The powder comes in three shades – Pearl, Shell and Coral. Now the thing I didn’t like is that they all are a couple of shades lighter than Indian skin tones. This has been done to give that instant fair look. I don’t like to make myself fairer than I already am so I picked the darkest shade since it matched my skin tone! 😀 So, there could be a little problem with matching your skin tone but if you are okay with the whitening effect then you will have no problem.
Coming to the formulation, to my surprise I really like it!! Sometimes the affordable or drugstore powders are so coarse and not fine enough that they end up making the face look cakey, but this one is really fine!! Nicely finely milled powder which spreads easily and evenly. I really like the finish of this one! It doesn’t end up making my make up look cakey or exaggerate my pores. It neither settles in the fine lines of my face. I have not experienced any problem with this powder like break outs, rash, or irritation. So these are the thumbs up for this powder.
The lasting power is average though, you will need a touch up after approximately 4-5 hours because a little bit of shine starts to come. In winters this shine is not a big problem for my skin because my skin is combination and a tiny bit of shine looks like a glow and I don’t touch up. But in summers, even my skin would need touch up now and then. People with dry skin would benefit the most in this case.
For the price I really like this product!! Its really good for college going girls or those who want to start with their make up. Not just those, but anyone who is looking for an affordable but good quality powder. Budget friendly, skin friendly and travel friendly. I do recommend it! 🙂
