After reviewing L’Orèal Paris La Vie En Rose Extraordinare Mat in Sonam here, I am ready for another one! 😀 Now Sonam’s pink was super gorgeous warm bright pink, the one I am going to review today is a lot different than that. Its the L’Orèal Paris La Vie En Rose Extraordinare Mat in Fan Bingbing! Let’s begin!
About The Looks!
As I stated in my last post, will mention it again. The packaging of the moist matte lipsticks and the extraordinare lip colors is almost the same with the difference being the case. The Extraordinare Mat lip colors come in a lip gloss like packaging with a doe foot applicator wand. The case is in black color with lovely matte finish. On the cap the name of the collection and the star’s name is printed. There is an oblong slit with a transparent glass through which you can see the color of the shade. I really love this packaging!! Its beautiful and feels so premium quality!! Love it!!

My experience with the Extraordinare Mat in Fan Bingbing’s shade!
I will begin with the color first, as this is the very first criteria while selecting a lipstick. At least for me! Well, this shade is an exact contrast to the Sonam’s bright warm pink. The color is similar to baby pink, but a little brighter than that. Imagine a baby pink with slight fuchsia undertones. Its that. Its not super pale or super nude, its pink, but light and a little bright, which gives some life to the lips. They do not look dead and I like this one better in comparison to the Aishwarya’s shade of moist matte lipstick that I reviewed here. After a few hours the lip color goes towards a more natural tone of the lips and looks like if it has mauve undertones.
The formula of the lip color is of a liquid lipstick which dries into velvet matte finish after an hour. Right after application the lip color looks like a gloss, since its shiny and creamy, but not at all sticky or streaky or gooey. Its nice! I really like the shiny finish as well, and the texture is even better when it dries in to velvet matte. Though the color looks prettier to me in the shiny finish than matte 🙂 It keeps the lips soft and hydrated all throughout the wear time!
Pigmentation is really great!! I am really impressed by L’Orèal Paris on making such pigmented formulas! Just one layer of this liquid lip color and you are good to go!! Your lips will look like lovely light pink rose petals. 😀 Okay that was a little too much! :p 😀 LOL
Lasting power is good but not as great as the Sonam’s pink, credit goes to the light shade, which does not leave any stain behind and tends to disappear much sooner than the brighter shades. The point is that even if it is there, but not as strong as before, because of it being so light, it looks like its not there at all and you would need to touch up after roughly 4-5 hours. After heavy or full meals you would certainly need to reapply the lip color.
I like this light pink and it will look very pretty with smokey eyes! I like this better than the Aishwarya’s moist matte pink and that too because of the little of brightness this shade has. Both are light, Aishwarya’s much nuder than this one. I really like it and would certainly recommend this to those who are looking for hydrating formulas in lively light colors! It will be really a great choice for everyday or office wear or whenever you want!!
