I have used a lot of different eye liners and never been fully satisfied with any. Some don’t last long, some are glossy and some patchy. I like my eyeliner to be absolutely black, matte and long lasting. During this hunt I came across the rave about Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper and wanted to give it a try. I got it from Sephora during my trip to Dubai and mentioned it in my haul post here. I have been using it since a couple of months now and I have my thoughts to share.
About The Looks!
It comes in a very Gothic looking packaging in all black and the print is in silver. Love the goth font and design of it! Its beautiful. The liner is in a form of pen with very sharp pointed felt tip. The ingredient list is on the box and the rest of information like quantity, shelf life etc are both on box and pen. The cap of the pen is of push lock technology with a click sound. At first I got scared of pushing it thinking that it might destroy the felt tip, but then later I understood how it works.

My views about the Kat Von D Tattoo Waterproof Liner in Trooper!
Okay, first of all I will start by admiring the super sharp and pointed felt tip this liner has!! OMG!! It makes creating a winged liner so easy that you can’t even imagine! It gives a sharp and pointed end and a very clean one. It is liquid liner, still it doesn’t spread or come out unevenly. You can create any look you want with this eye liner.
The finish is absolutely matte which I am extremely happy about and is quite black, but you might need to layer it up according to your wish. layering does make it appear much more blacker than one layer would do. Sometimes it is patchy but when its filled in properly it appears fine. It is certainly waterproof and would stand water and sweat and even humid climate but if you rub your hands over the eyeliner after a few hours, it will start coming off. It will stay for a long time if it is untouched, but once you rub your eyes, it will start coming off. But remember that will happen only after 4-5 hours of wear time. I have a very bad habit of rubbing my eyes when I am tired or sleepy, so I have to be extra careful with that if I am still in a party and want my liner to be intact or I would carry it along for touch ups.
Overall I think this eye liner is worth the money. Making a winged liner is so easy with this and it has a matte finish and is pretty black. I wish the lasting power was a little better and it could have been a little more intense black, but I think I can work with that. It has made my life easy and I reach out to this liner every time! So, yes! I highly recommend this product to everyone!
