The Body Shop Frosted Berries Collection Review | RougePouts

Winter season comes with its own beautiful sceneries and colors! The landscape is different and the food is the best during this season. Then why not our body care products be the best too and that too made with one of the best winter fruit ever! Frosted Berries! I must say that I love all kinds of berries, they are my favorite and this, therefore is one the reasons to be winter my favorite season! Anyway, coming back to the point, The Body Shop came out with its yet another limited edition collection called Frosted Berries. There are a couple more named as Vanilla Chai and Spiced Apple. I have been using The Body Shop Frosted Berries Collection since quite a long time and now I am going to share my views on it!

About The Looks!

The collection comes with a Body Butter, Shower Gel and Foaming Bath. The packaging of the body butter is the classic tub packaging as always. The tub is red in color and the cap is black. During Christmas and new year, the brand was giving out customized labels with the customer’s name or the name of the person you wanted to gift it to. This was under the WWF  campaign with The Body Shop where on every transaction one could donate any amount as less as 10/- to the maximum of one’s choice. All the donated money would go to the Species conservation and Habitat Protection. There were four animals to chose from and I chose the Swan! The Foaming bath comes in a big round bulky bottle. The bottle is transparent and the cap black and is of screw open type. I like the look of this one! The shower gel comes in the very same packaging as other ones. The transparent regular sized bottle with the flip open black cap. But the wreath printed on the bottle makes look even more pretty and Christmas-y! All the bottles and tubs have all the information required like, price, quantity, shelf life, etc. I love the packaging ideas of The Body Shop! Very innovative and attractive!

My experience with The Body Shop Frosted Berries Collection!

One thing is common in all three products and it is one of the best thing about them. It’s the scent. It smells like strawberry or Raspberry Icecream! I am not kidding!! And if I have to be precise, the strawberry ice cream from Hokey Pokey. An exact match!! I want to eat the body butter and the foaming bath! It smells that delicious!

Starting with the foaming bath, which I actually starting trying first because of its uniqueness and you know have been using shower gels since a long time and this sounded like an interesting change! The foaming bath is of beautiful red in color and when you squeeze out the product, it comes out in a form of a big dollop just like a jelly! It’s wobbly and firm yet soft exactly like jelly!! I loved playing with it!! 😀 This is the product that smells most amazingly like strawberry ice cream. I want to eat it! I feel like I am using a strawberry ice cream jelly which foams insanely well and the foam has a red tint in it! The bathing experience is a bliss with this product!! It leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean and does not dry it out.

The shower gel is a milder form of the foaming bath according to me. The scent is milder than the foaming bath and so is the foam. The scent goes away after a minute or two but adds a lot of freshness to your bath. The consistency is also liquidy but a little thicker than the regular strawberry shower gel that the brand has. This too leaves my skin fresh and clean without causing any dryness.

Coming to the body butter which I was pleasantly surprised with, is very thick in consistency, perfect for winter time. The scent as I mentioned earlier is like a strawberry ice cream and you enjoy the whole process of applying it on your body. It is highly moisturizing and rich! I sometimes use it as a hand cream and it worked pretty well! The body butter is of creamy pinkish-white in color and spreads evenly and instantly hydrates the skin. The skin feels hydrated for the entire day and I had no need to reapply before nightfall.
